It is Who You Know rather than What You Know, we are told, that makes the difference. With Derek we discuss and share stories from the comic and trivial to the serious and life changing.
24th June - Beetle Drive
Once again we play what has become a firm favourite. Philip leads in the fun and games.
1st July - At Home
Our usual social evening where members catch up and chat over tea & coffee etc. There may also be a brief members’ update and feedback session.
8th July - General Knowledge Quiz
Quiz Master Russell tests our General Knowledge.
15th July - Bingo Night
Steven & Friends call out the numbers and there are prizes for the winners.
22nd July - Pride Action North
We welcome Meg Dobson-Armstrong from Pride Action North who tells us about the organisation and the services it provides. Meg also runs a variety of Art Workshops and we will get to choose those we fancy most.
29th July - Move! Bag It!
In teams Simon and Nathan get us to complete tasks and collect stars. The Chase is On. The team with the most stars - wins!!
5th August - At Home

12th August - Oh I Know It but What is it?
Quiz master Patrick presents us with: “Four rounds of musical madness and notable nostalgia. Particles of pop music, tantalising TV films, clueless classical & frustrating film music.”
19th August - Film Night: ‘Stage Mother’
This ‘heart warming & uplifting musical comedy drama’ sees Texas church choir director Maybelline, (Jackie Weaver), inherit her recently deceased son’s drag queen club, leave her closed minded husband and his narrow world and move to San Francisco to save the club from bankruptcy. Here in ‘this raucous, racy new environment’ she opens up and finds new meaning in her life by becoming a mother figure to the club’s ‘flamboyant performers’.
26th August - ABM
Our Annual Big Meeting in which we review our 14th year as a collective, renew our commitment to GMT and hold elections, (if necessary), to the Duty Membership. We also have a bit of a party.
2nd September - At Home
Our usual social evening. There may also be a brief members’ update and feedback meeting and we shall look at our Diary Planner for the 4th Quarter of this year.
9th September - Where is It?
Newcastle is a treasure trove of architecture and artefacts, yet so many of these gems go unnoticed in our daily lives. Join Alan for a fun and interactive picture round quiz when he will challenge us to identify local landmarks and hidden details from 3 possible answers. An opportunity to celebrate and enjoy Newcastle City’s rich heritage.
16th September - Favourite Songs Night
We are invited to share a couple of our favourite songs.

Looking forwards to our our 35th year we delve into our archives as well as take a look at more recent events.
30th September - Call My Bluff
We re-visit our own version of this once popular TV game. Philip hosts.
