1 March  -  At Home

Our usual social evening + Diary Planner for the 2nd Quarter of 2023. There will also be a brief members’ update and feedback meeting plus our monthly raffle.

 

8 March  -  Give Us A Clue

We revive our own version of this once popular TV game. Philip & Simon are our hosts.

 

15 March  -  What's On Your Mind?

We write down our ideas for a discussion, put them in a bag and wait for them to be drawn.

 

22 March  -  Thirty First Birthday Party

Celebrate with us our 31st Birthday Party. Details nearer the time.

 

29 March  -  It Makes Me Laugh

We laugh along with Ian as he shows us some of his favourite comedy clips.

APRIL 2023

5 April  -  At Home

Our usual social evening where members catch up and chat over tea and coffee etc.  There may also be a brief members’ update and feedback meeting plus our monthly raffle.

 

12 April  -  World Parkinson’s Day

Around 145,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK. And it’s the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. For this year’s World Parkinson’s Day, Parkinson’s UK Volunteer, John, explores Parkinson’s and asks if there is enough need for a LGBTQ+ support/social group.

 

19 April  -  Going Places

We look at some of our photos of places where we have been  - to give us ideas of where we might like to go again.

 

26 April  -  Scrabble Competition         

Philip & Simon hasten us through this fast moving competition as we play three games against the clock - where at the end there are prizes for the winners.

May 2023

3 May  -  At Home

10 May  -  Film Night:  ‘Muriel’s Wedding’

This 1994 comedy-drama from Down Under about a young woman’s unorthodox way of finding herself a husband is still a favourite with many gay men and we are happy to watch it again. Snacks and drinks provided or bring your own.

 

17 May  -  It’s IDAHO Day

Why IDAHO? And what has the German Empire got to do with it? Patrick’s poignant powerpoint paves the path to understanding.       

    

24 May  -  “Oh! I Know It but What Is It?”

Four rounds of musical madness of notable nostalgia. Particles of pop music, tantalising TV themes, clueless classical & frustrating film music.

 

31 May  -  Fire Safety Talk

Katie & Josh - officers from the Tyne & Wear Safety Team will guide us through every day fire safety precautions and regulations that help us keep safe both at home and work.

JUNE 2023

7 June  -  At Home

Our usual social evening. We also look at our Diary Planner for the 3rd Quarter of 2023 and may also have a brief members’ update and feedback meeting plus our monthly raffle.

 

14 June  -  Meal Out

21 June  -  Cartoon Night          

Bring along your favourite cartoons on DVD or Memory Stick.  Simon will play them for you.  Derek hosts.

 

28 June  -  More About You

Derek invites us to share stories of life’s experiences.
