SEPTEMBER 2022

7 September  -  At Home

Our usual social evening plus monthly raffle draw. There will be a brief members’ update and feedback meeting and we shall look at our Diary Planner for the 4th Quarter of this year.

 

14 September  -  Wildlife of the North East: The wilderness on our doorstep.

Jack presents an informative evening about local wildlife and where best to see it. From the minute dramas of the hermit crabs on our shores, to the spectacular performances of the black grouse upon our hillsides, the North East of England has a bountiful collection of wildlife spectacles to see, if only one knows where, and how, to look.

 

21 September  -  Musical Memories

We choose two pieces of music that evoke special memories for us.

 

28 September  -  Back from Lockdown

Through our Photographs we look back at last year’s outings and other events after we had returned from lockdown.

OCTOBER 2022

5 October  -  At Home

Our usual social evening where members catch up and chat over tea and coffee etc.  There will also be a brief members' update and feedback meeting plus our monthly raffle.

 

12 October  -   Photographic Memories – the Last 10 Years  (5)

Another in the series in which with Derek we look back at the last 10 years.

  

19 October  -  Fighting with Pride

Kate talks about Fighting with Pride, a charity that advocates for LGBT plus veterans.

 

26 October  -  Shivers and Creeps

We celebrate Halloween with an evening in which we share music and readings that make us feel ‘a wee bit scary’.                        

NOVEMBER 2022

2 November  -  At Home

Our usual social evening.  There will be a brief members'  update and feedback meeting plus our monthly raffle.

 

9 November  -  What’s On Your Mind

We write down our ideas for a discussion, put them in a bag and wait for them to be drawn out.

 

16 November  -  A Simple Man

The art and life of L.S. Lowry is brilliantly brought alive in this unique dance drama.  The evening also includes a short introduction presented by Albert Finney.

               

23 November  -  Getting the Picture

In groups we work on the same jigsaw and in the allotted time the group that has got most of the picture wins the prize.  Philip and Simon encourage us to puzzle it out.

 

30 November  -  Multi-Choice Quiz

Derek tests our general knowledge with mostly multi choice questions.       

DECEMBER 2022

7 December  -  At Home

Our usual social evening + Diary Planner for the 1st Quarter of 2023.  We will also have a brief members update and feedback meeting plus our monthly raffle.

 

14 December  -  Christmas Past Parties

Through our photos we look back and share memories of GMT’s Christmas Parties of the last 30 years.  

 

21 December  -  Christmas Party

Celebrate the festive season with us.  Details nearer the time.

 

28 December  -  CLOSED for Christmas.
