WHAT GOES ON AT GMT?

The primary aim of GMT is to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for gay / bi men of all ages and backgrounds.

New people come along all the time, and we have members who have been around since the beginning of the group.

Each week we have a different activity - ranging from quizzes, music nights, film nights, fun and serious discussions, creative and social evenings. And to help get everyone talking over a coffee, the first Wednesday of every month is our "At Home" evening, when we just talk, laugh or play games in a really friendly, convivial atmosphere.

Outside the Wednesday evenings we periodically run outdoor events - days out to a variety of places. This includes woodland walks and trips to the coast, fun parks and stately homes. In addition, from time to time, we arrange trips to the theatre, cinema and bowling alley etc.

Where does gmt meet?

GMT meets every Wednesday evening close to central Newcastle - not far from bus and metro transport links.

Refreshments are available from 6:45pm, and the group closes at 9pm. Some members go home at this time, others choose to round off the evening with a visit to a local pub.

New members interested in joining will be given details of the venue when enquiring about coming along: Contact Us. On your first visit the best time to join us is between 6:45pm and 7:15pm before the evening's activity begins.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There is no membership fee. Members are encouraged to make donations.

This covers the cost of tea, coffee and biscuits and contributes towards the cost of our Christmas, Birthday and other parties.
