An opportunity to talk about our generous grant from the National Lottery Community Fund and to share ideas on how we might spend it.

28th January  -  Send Me a Postcard

In this digital age few of us send postcards. With Simon we look back at those who did – both people known to us and those unknown. Each has a story to tell and we share them.

February 2026

11th February  -  Film Night: ‘The Man with the Answers’

Sometimes the most unpromising starts to a relationship lead to love, as demonstrated in this quirky, upbeat ‘road trip movie’. When former ex championship diver, Vikoras, rather vaguely decides to take a trip to Germany he crosses paths with Mathias, ‘a free spirited hitch-hiker,’ who tempts him to take the road not taken.

18th February  -  “Oh I Know It but What is it?”

Quiz Master Patrick presents us with: “Four rounds of musical madness of notable nostalgia. Particles of pop music, tantalising TV Themes, clueless classical & frustrating film music.”

25th February  -  Film Night: ‘Victim’

In LGBTQ+ History Month we watch the famous 1961 film starring Dirk Bogarde that many believed helped bring about the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and

Wales in 1967.
